English Description

This wooden frame house is a family, friendly and long-term project self-constructed by the owners. One thing leading to another, from one building to the other, it practically became a sort of hamlet. This couple, always respectful of the environment, chose to build in wood. The owner, who is a sculptor, a drawing teacher and a former carpentry contractor learned about wood/straw construction, since it seemed to be the best process in terms of thermal insulation and comfort of materials. The roof and cladding were made out of larch from a local silviculture. The programme has been enriched over the years and the first honey house became a guest house. The vast sculpture workshop protects the house opening south and facing the trees lining the land. Serenity.
